I have the same leak on my 2007 Puma. Local workshop reckons it's the rear oil seal on the engine. Will check it out and update.

Sniff it, the oil that is...
Looks like engine oil to me too which [if it were up that end - which it isn't if it's the transfer box / adapter join] would suggest crankshaft rear oil seal as has already been mentioned. Whatever the box has got to be separated so you will soon know. Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
