Greetings from finland.
I have been reading about theese vacuum pumps failing, does it look like this? Brakes work just fine. Just to be curious... http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/1617/02052010053.jpg http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/548/02052010052.jpg It is definently engine oil. There is a spray comming somwhere. I had the car towed this morning, just to be shure. http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/8531/03052010057.jpg |

Yup - that's definitely it. Good reference photos for others who are worried. No need to be towed (it doesn't really affect the performance of the brakes) but good to get it fixed. ![]() + New Defender 110 First Edition |

I drove from the Okovango Delta all the way to Windhoek (1000 km's) with mine spewing oil but it only made a big mess and the oil level drop was negligible.
I still have oil seeping out of my bonnet internals onto my wing tops. ![]() |

Nice, the dealer has not had the time to look at it yet, but hopefully will later this week.
It still is under warranty but i allways get the shivers when something goes wrong with theese things. I want to have a proper summer vacation this year and big bills dont fit the picture... ![]() But the road assistance was great. Within 30 minutes i had the car towed and driving a Nissan Qashqaijhbhjtf(whatever). I was positively supriced. Thanks for your info guys n girls. ![]() |
