Interesting reading. For the size I'm after March 15 will be the availabilty date. Worth waiting for as the option for me currently would be MT KM2s and am looking to reduce road noise. Good find thank you. Will make the Coopers last until then. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Thanks Ronin,
Made a mistake historically with an old 1982 E21 Sharknose BMW that I had until 6 years ago. That had 13" wheels and hardly anyone runs on 13s nowadays. Tyres were hard to source. Bought some tyres from the US on a visit and they didn't last long and road grip was atrocious. Think they may have had a different compound or manufacturing process perhaps? You are correct it'll be 305s I'm after. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Shame they're not doing them in 235/70 16 size yet, for my Discovery 2.

Mal - The KM2's aren't very loud, not that I've noticed anyway.

I would love to go for a spin in a Defender with KM2's fitted to gauge noise. I really would like ideally to reduce my road noise I experience with my Coopers. Safe bet would be the ATs but they don't do them in 305. I have a while to go with my Coopers but have a 1500 mile trek to Germany week after next at the end of which I'll either be sick of the Coopers I reckon or tone deaf. ^I went from Cooper STT to BFG KM2 and the noise reduction was surprising.

Km2 are a lot quieter than STT. I would also say they are quieter than MTR.

Hi k9f, I'm on my second set of km2 s and I find them to be fantastic, quiet for what they are( don't drone like the original km ) and very long lasting and mild mannered. You are welcome to a test ride if you ever venture up here!!...
Cheers Alex |

Thanks Alex, I think my mind based on the feedback is made up especially as Timo took exactly the same route as myself with branding changes and based on Rob K's post. But once the next three hectic weeks are over I may take you up on your kind and generous offer. Thank you.

They are amazing in terms of wear. I did 46k in my 110 and there was a lot of tread left. My spare is now a km2 because I couldn't get a MTR after a puncture. I'll be changing the other four in due course.
