If the turbo didn't work - then I suppose it would be slow in every rev. range? It pulls normal - at least i think so - above 2.000 rpm. I am a bit lost….

As you describe it I would think it is turbo related.
So I would check air filter, maybe diesel filter or something like that. Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

I would say vanes in turbo stuck
does anyone know it puma turbo does the self clean/reset as you turn ign on and off like the tdv6 turbo- one of the tuners should know we had a discovery in the other day with vanes stuck and got them free with spray and bit of light force on the spindle , that was on a tdv6 that cycled the turbo spindle with turning ign on and off , owner complained of black smoke and sluggish low down and had fault code for turbo if its revving ok top end , cant see it being a air/diesel filter problem |

If it is pulling OK above 2000 rpm I don't think it is turbo related.
I had a wet airfilter once, the result was no low end torque I had to rev it driving away but higher rpm's it was ok. Took a few miles to get everything back to normal. At home I found out that my airfilter was wet. Egr valve would be my guess. Get it on live readings and see what it's doing, can you hear the self clean cycle when the engines switched off?

Thanks a lot for answers!! The engine light came on today. I do not have anything to read codes at the moment - but I think it< is the egg. It was stuck closed last time i read fault codes - thought that was ok - even though engine light was on..,. But 3 weeks ago engine light turned off again.. Think the egr started working again.. and hopefully it is the Egr that now is open and not working. New egr will be fitted tomorrow.
