I knew I shouldn't have registered my 110 in my name, I should have left the previous owners liable for any traffic offences .................Thames Valley Police

If they would do that here in Geneva, they would 99% sure be identified within days. We have a dedicated Police task force for identifying cars. Hit and run accidents here almost always are traced back, from debris remaining on the road which connects to specific car models or other ways, allowing police to go and visit each and every car owner with such model/colour, etc...
In this particular case it would be very easy from the pictures to detect car model, colour, specific details, and police would visit all owners of such cars within days, and match the likely car to the pictures... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Whether this story is true or not, bit harsh don't you think? I can only assume you're a model citizen that's never done any wrong. Hopefully you never will if that's the sort of punishment you'd expect..... And no, I'm not a do-gooder before you ask, I'd hang the paedos and rapists just that I wouldn't expect to have to die for (just) speeding |

No, I'm far from a model citizen, in fact I'll admit I have two criminal convictions under my belt.
However, from the main page where I took the quote from "getting their revenge" For what? you only get prosecuted for speeding if you're breaking the law. simple. so why "revenge"??? and yes, I pleaded guilty to both of my prosecutions as I had done them. My harshness was pointed to the fact that the said people who took the numberplate sound (IMO) like total chavs, who think it's great to drive like . then expect to scurry away when the sh!t hits the fan. |

I'm no do gooder either, but in all frankness that's what it can lead to for other road users. There's a speed limit for a reason, and at that it's a limit not a target. Take the speed limits away and just imagine they mayhem and catastrophe that would occur. |
