2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HCPU Cairns Blue

Td5 Drone Noise

My Td5 110 has developed a annoying Droning noise under load, 2005 model with 100k.

Sounds like a hole in the exhaust would sound, but all is fine with exchaust.

It disappears when I press the clutch....so am thinking drive train related, UJs props etc all seem fine.

Transfer box Bearings....Dmf ?
Any ideas ?

My TD5 would drone at speed from the transfer box.

When I changed the transfer box I got an uprated sleeve casing.
