I keep my aerial constantly down, then again I don't use the radio.....
Far to prone to getting snapped off! Especially around here. |

That's what I was thinking to be honest. Seems to be a bug magnet with the upright windscreen lol

Weekend away or candlelit dinner for two perhaps?
Doesn't really matter as my top portion wore out and at full extent it used to go down on it's own. If you've got good reception with it down you've no requirement to extend and tempt some toe rag to bend or snap it. Great looking truck. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

So King Kong experienced his first spout of rain today and all appears dry so however when looking around the seat base I noticed a white foam looking pad between the seat base and trim beneath the door line. This pad seems out of alignment on the drivers side compared to the passenger could someone tell me if this is a defender trait or is it likely to be a problem many thanks in advance Craig.

If you are referring to the foam 'packing' strip - it's only there to fill the gap and from what I've seen seems to be a sort of double sided sticky tape with a foam filling. Probably costs JLR about £1.00 for 1000 metres and appears to fall out/sag out of some joins almost as soon as it is inserted at the factory.
You might like to get a windscreen scraper out (now that frosty mornings are upon us) and reposition it - if it offends thy eye? |
