That's an interesting comment. What is different from before? The number of splines (recently 48, earlier 36)? Or something else?
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

You are correct, it is personal choice and to date the majority of our customers have been replacing the light roof lining in 14MY cars for black alcantara so its actually a blessing for our buyers.

The steering wheel is still 48 Spline but has locating holes (That slot over the ASC/Traction Control sensor in the steering wheel column) rather than 2 locating pins on the older wheel.

We have bosses manufactured for this to suit all Momo Wheels for 15MY.

Having seen a 110 S/W Utility with the black roof liner I would agree with Grouse, IMO it makes the interior seem too dark, works for some though.

New steering wheel fitment I feel may be related to the use of a steering angle sensor which is generally required for DSC.

I guess it's personal choice, but why anyone would want a black roof lining beats me, with dark seats, dark dash, dark carpet mats it would be like driving a coffin - I would pay more for a lighter airier interior Confused

It wouldn't do to have a dark, alcantara (very Audi) headlining in in my 110. I like the white as it makes the cabin light and airy and the wipe clean surface is important with 3 wets dogs shaking off in the boot! The headlining will suit the urban brigade I suppose.

Hi urban thanks for the post ....i was just about to purchase twisted
http://www.twistedstore.co.uk/products/Ste...B6uEFd_JHI

thanks for saving me time and money......whats the depth of your boss?I cannot fathom why the standard bosses are so deep as they appear to be lots of non functional metal .......surely you just need enough to accomodate the splines and a little extra for solidity as in the twisted above.........do you know why there appears to be two inches of wasted space?as on the alive standard size below.

http://www.alivetuning.com/alive-boutique/.......thanks
