6 Pot the engine must be almost as ridiculously HUGE as the photo in your avatar that throws everything out on the forum.

Details of sizing etc...here:

Really?....This is what I see at 50% sizing on my laptop. Imagine at 100%. All other members posts are ok...have had this before where the picture size used as avatar has been too big.

So what's the issue then? Any help gratefully received. I did resize one for Defender Stu here that threw up the same problem.

http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15459....atar+photo

The picture size at 1024x768 pixels does far exceed the old forum guidelines of 150x100 and it may be that older software may not cope perhaps? Martin explained the newer auto resizing here but am unsure what the autosizing takes it to?

Martin wrote:
There is now an "Avatar" option in the box under images in the gallery.

Copy and paste this into the "Link to off site avatar" field when editing your Profile (towards the bottom) and it'll auto-resize Smile

It might be something in your local settings Mal, I have checked the avatar in Safari, Chrome & Firefox on OSX Mavericks and Internet Explorer on Windows 7 and they all appear at the same size Confused 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon

Local settings have not been changed and it only happens with 6 pot's posts no others? When he posts photos along with his avatar they don't even appear on my screen, I have to scroll to see them.
I am a computer biff but it does seem unusual that it's a one off and will try any sensible suggestions if the fault doesn't lie elsewhere. Will pm Martin, maybe he can assist?

6 pot please accept my sincerest apologies for the thread hijack. Bow down

I'll wait and see what Martin comes up with. Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Rolling with laughter

51Kb was the old maximum size?

Thank God it's not only me then. At least you did better than me. I couldn't even figure out how to take a 'screenshot' so photographed it instead.

If it doesn't work, slam the mouse on the table, if it still doesn't work you'll still feel marginally better, I promise! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Back to brake kits.
I saw most of our sponsors site sells only the front brake kits.
Do most people here use larger front brake and keep thr rear the standard brake?
