I find them alright. Seem to work well off road. Just a bit noisy and slippery in the wet.
Does depend what your going to do with your new defender. Just going to do road miles probably worth going for something more road biased. That would help with fuel economy and noise. All in all good tyre wouldn't swap for sake of it. When they wear out I'll be putting bfg tyres on. |

12k rubbed off only 1.5mm.
I've had km2 I really liked them I find the mt tyre a but more noisey that's all. I was on a muddy site today with the mt tyres towing a one tonne chipper and they preformed very well. If the price is the same I'd go for the km2. As I said before I wouldn't bother changing to km2 for the sake of it. |

MTRs i am not that keen on, they seem to loose the edges quicker and one road are a tad noisy. i run the KM2s now and rate them far above the MTRs. Cheers

I'm 20000 miles into a set of these from new. They are noisy, but I figure all MT will be based on tread. I'm considering AT next time, but I would buy again if I don't change type. They are really good in both snow and mud - as expected!

Great off and on road but not the mileage of BFGs.

^^^ +1 Unbeatable as an all-rounder. Excellent on and off road, and expect around 100,000 miles from a set. |

KM2s are kind of the exception to "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is". For a mud tyre that performs as well on the mud, it's road characteristics are almost comparable to an AT. It's an impressive piece of engineering. 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

no good in sand, got me stuck......
(No it was the idiot behind the wheel did that did that but the mud pattern bit well on the maxtrax to extract me) noisy at speed, stones get stuck in the tread, just like any other mud tyre... "Rafiki" 2007 110 STW - Rolling rebuild. |
