Fair enough Mdm, I'll look into it. Constructive criticism is good.

Thumbs Up

I suspect I speak for a few others on here .when I decide to go to a show, and that's car shows to Landy events to most other events . I want to spend a short while looking what's available ,at what price and what's included in that price.

Then i work out time and fuel food costs etc then I decide which shows, events I can attend.

Ideally a simple professional website helps.

After a few years of non attendance of Landy shows we have started to attend Peterborough ,we'll organised.well policed at night nice family atmosphere .

Small shows can be good but they must be reasonably priced and have a little something extra to the big events.....what that is I leave open to debate

See where you're coming from. I'm a real technophobe it has to be said, so until I can get some expert assistance, the website is what it is ... my amateur effort!

Best leave opinions about the Adventure Overland Show to others, I wouldn't be right to give my opinion here, so all I will say is - it certainly isn't a small event. Taking in all the traders, campers and display vehicles, I'd say it is now on par or even bigger than Billing, but definitely less than Peterborough. The camping at P'boro has really grown in recent years, so that's good for the entire show scene. As you say Mdm, LRO Peterborough is "we'll organised, well policed at night and a nice family atmosphere". Agreed!

I have been to this show for the last 3 years and it is a good show and different from landrover shows, yet still has a high landrover pressance and lots of other vehicals I go to all the big shows throught the year and find this very good vaulure for money ,and lots of types of overland vehicals ,tom the man who runs the show has in the past on here had a few negative comments, but he is still plugging on and proving the comments wrong, this show is growing bigger each year,

I'll certainly be at the Adventure Overland Show again this year and can recommend it to anyone. Great peaceful location with bags of space, good diverse range of exhibitors, traders and attendees, not just Landrover folk.

As Tom says it's also resolutely non-corporate Thumbs Up

I will definitely attend again, in fact this was probably the best show I attended last year.

I met a bunch of 4x4 users who had built up an enormous amount of real experience travelling sometimes vast distances.

Some of the ideas and modifications I saw were unique, certainly many of the Dutch & German Land Rover's had some serious thought put into them.

In my opinion it is less of a bolt on Land Rover parts show and aimed at people who will use their vehicles for overland travel and of course not just Land Rovers.

The non trade vehicle display was absolutely inspiring.

Thanks folks. I've been busy working at revamping the event website, 'cause apparently it's now the 21st century!

Early days yet as I'm a self confessed technophobe, but I've just started listing the speakers for the "Been There, Done It" Seminar Sessions. Two 4x4 owners and two bikers on there so far, all of which have 'walked the walk' travel-wise. Each and every one are incredible in their own right, where do they find the time ... not to mention money?

Fair play to 'em as they all qualify for the ONE LIFE, LIVE IT tag; long may they continue!
