Portugal 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Keswick Green
My newest toy ...
Last week, besides picking up my new Defender, also wento to get this new toy (used though - swaped my F650GS for this one) ... Mr. Green

I use it mainly to go to work everyday (50km with lots off traffic) ... but ... I've already ordered some protections and I'm looking for some decent off-road tyres - Continental TKC or Heidenau K60! Cool

And then ... off road I go !!! Some weekends on the Defender (the winch bumper will arrive next week), some with this bike!!

 Regards
Joao

So close to buying either a F650GS OR F800GS (yellow/black) as my first bike. Loved the look of the 800, but preferred the front wheel size, gearing and height of the 650. So whilst I was dithering we got the opportunity of very cheap conservatory, so suddenly I lost all my money on that instead Sad

Blokes at work always rib me about going for a ride on my double glazed concrete floored uPVC bike!

Yours looks superb, would be interested to hear how you get on with the 90/90x21 front wheel over the 110/80x19.

Enjoy,
Harvey

It is an awesome looking machine.

A mate took me out on his R1150GS fitted with the TKC's, have to say he was going round corners quicker than I would (then again my only riding was to pass my Direct-Access), it was a frosty Saturday morning. He reckons that the TKCs are are a great gripping tyre nearly as good as a normal road tyre, but to achieve this grip he says the compound is much softer.

As a side issue, he chopped the R1150GS for a R1200GSA, which was unfortunately written off when he had an accident with the back of a Defender at 60mph and braking rapidly. Miraculously he escaped with 'just' a busted wrist!

Enjoy the GS,
Harvey
