Thanks Munch,

It has always given a little blast of blue smoke on start up from cold (45k miles with me), have just checked the oil level and its still exactly on max from last service 2.5k ago, before our last French trip.

Breather rocker cover to inlet is clean and clear as a whistle.

As it doesn't blue smoke at all when running or on over run and uses no oil I think turbo should be OK although I don't know how to check it otherwise.

Although the filter is now tight, how do you check for air in the system, a clear pipe put into the run next to the fuel pump?

Cheers Keith

England
air will clear its self after a run , sometimes they don't clear just ticking over they need a run

maybe worth replacing the filter just in case

Hi Munch,

just an update, due to work, man flu, more work and being Dad's taxi service I never got time to swap the filter as of yet - but the day after my last post it started perfectly, no smoke no hesitation etc.

Looks like the run I took it for round the block past Farmer Giles manor and home wasn't quiet enough to clear the air from the system now its all tight all is OK - very many thanks for your help. Thumbs Up

Cheers Keith
