Hmmm, unless you get down early I think you're gonna struggle to find any parking within 5 mins of the beach or cliffs as that is the best place to watch it all from. I live 3 miles away from Bournemouth pier but I'm going to park a mile or two out and cycle in with my daughter. I think you can pretty much guarantee it's gonna be rammed.
Because the coastline is so built up there's not much opportunity to get a good view from further afield. You could try parking near Southbourne or Sandbanks and walk along the prom towards Boscombe or Bournemouth but even then that's gonna be a couple of miles to get near to the main display area. You could also try parking near Coy Pond or Talbot Woods and walk through Bournemouth Gardens to the pier. At least there's plenty of free street parking but it's still going to be a trek. Be careful of the multi-storey car parks in the town as some are tight on headroom for a Defender. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful 2007 110 XS DCPU - An itch that needed scratching 2005 90 Td5 XS CSW - Utterly brilliant 2001 Discovery 2 ES Auto - A phase I went through 1996 90 Tdi CSW - Uber reliable 1989 90 2.5 Petrol Hardtop - My first proper Landy 1985 Range Rover Vogue V8 -Troublesome |

Thanks Rustyboxx and Sparkylee I'll check the map, basically looking for pointers to a hill or two so we can arrive after the water therapy treatment the injured dogs having. Maybe best to avoid it, just thought I'd see what recommendations I could get. Long shot but if you don't ask you'll never know. _______________________________

Monkey World is miles away, not sure how much you'd see from there. I guess it depends how close you want to be. Going over to the Purbecks on the hills overlooking Poole Harbour and Bournemouth Bay would give a great overall view but that's a long long way from the action. Some high points in the New Forest near Burley also gives some distant views of Bournemouth but again way too far out for a good experience. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful
