There's one complete with difflock on Ebay at the moment for a BIN of £155:-

Here, for example, is one with three days to go, no reserve, no bids, and a £1 start:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-DISCO...4d22e8391a |

Things to note when doing this.
1. the cruise control won't work, if you have it enabled, but there are ways to fix it. 2. if it's was from an elderly rover, ie Tdi, you will need to swap over the hi/low detect switch housing, if you don't you can make a manual switch in the cab and you can modify the throttle response by activaing that. so that's another option. 3. the prices of these boxes vary, i got mine for about 100 pounds. but some have gotten them cheaper. 4. before you drop the box in, make sure there there's no a lot of play on the front output and rear output, diff lock the box and check, if so, you might have to rebuild the box, the center diff does wear out though. 5. check the oil seals as it's easier to change it when the box is on the floor vs when you are lying down. on a Td5 with 235/85/16 you will get 120km/h at 2400rpm which is pretty good and a nice speed where the engine is not screaming. it's a great mod along side a larger intercooler and a remap. This is a great mod, I have run this now for 50k and it is the best thing I have done to the 90 along with an auto box.
@achuakh I have wanted to enable cruise control but did not think there was a way to make it work with the Disco tbox, can you let me know how to fix it? |

^^^^ You need to use something like this, a generic (usually for motorbikes) speedo adjustment box, which you can alter the output to the dash.
I'd assume you put it in line from the speedo transducer to the ECU (but not the speedo head on the dash, so you still get an accurate reading) to then the ECU won't think the vehicle speed vs. engine revs, is "out of limits" (which is apparently what stops the cruise control from working with a 1.2:1 t/box) |

Yup, one of those such boxes will do the trick to make the CC work by bring it back to within range.
speedohealer is another of those boxes. again, ebay is your good friend and you should be able to find similar products. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. I have had a disco transfer box on my 52 plate 90 for nearly a year and its the best thing I have done, that and a Stage 2 from Alive Tuning. It makes it more drivable and the longer gears help on longer journeys lowering the RPM which seems to help with noise.

I swapped a transfer box off a 200tdi Disco I was breaking for a .30-30 lever action Winchester which seemed a good deal at the time ( I didn't forsee buying another 90 then) 2006 TD5 90 County
