[For Sale] Mac Book Pro
For sale is my sons MBP 13 inch. Purchased from the Apple Store in September 2011 when he started his degree. At the time it was the highest spec 13 inch they did, and cost £1299. It comes with all the boxes, documents and charger.
It has a 2.3Ghz Dual Core i5 processor, and I have upgraded the RAM to 8GB. The Hard Drive is 320GB. It is a very quick laptop.
In Spring this year it had a new logic board fitted because the SD card slot had stopped working at a cost of £375.
It does have a couple of small dents to the outside shell of the laptop which I have tried to show in the photos - as well as some light surface scratches. There is also a small crack to the glass part of the screen - PLEASE NOTE - the screen itself is not cracked, just simply the glass that covers the screen. As the crack is small and is on the black surround, I have not bothered to have it repaired as it doesn't affect the screen at all. It is a simple repair that you can do yourself with guidance from youtube videos - the replacement parts are around £15 last time I checked. Our local apple repair specialist quoted £45 inc VAT to have this fixed.
In light of the small cosmetic issues to the laptop, I have priced it fairly at £525 o.n.o. It is still a very quick machine, that has plenty of years left in it. He is selling this as he is just entering the big wide world of work and will now need to learn to use windows!
