If it was me, unless there was anything wrong with the shocks (inspect them close up), then I'd just stick to the bushes. If it's getting a bit 'wallowey' then they may want doing, but otherwise save your money An engine to TDi for!

I considered the same when I did my bushes but I too discoubnted the expenditure as there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. With the Pro Bushes you know it won't take long to swap the shocks out if and when they need doing. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

That is very true, I know the rears should be no trouble and for the fronts I intend to follow the guide on here.
I'm gonna get two genuine turret rings to be on the safe side though too, so if the worst come to the worst and one of the bolts shear I have a replacement. I'll wd40 soak the appropriate areas though a few days in advance. Shouldn't be in bad nick as it's Dinitrolled anyway, just might have to clean the threads. |

I also bought new take offs, one of the reasons (apart from being cheap),the top nut on the front shocks had rusted solid (another mudtrap ) and will need grinding off,so you might wanna check yours anorl. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Just out of pure interest, are 110 shocks different to 90 shocks?
By this I mean from the factory. |

You don't realise how poor your dampers are until they're off.
I've JUST removed my fronts, they were totally goosed. Compress them and that's where they stay. I always start a project with quality dampers and bushes. Coils are usually shot too and they always look wrecked with the plastic coating flaking off. |

/\/\/\Normal that dude .Its the spring that makes it rise, you should however feel good resistance pushing or pulling the damper. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.
