Party Anyone? K9's Gazebo is finished!

Over the preceeding 18 months I have been toiling as a labour of love to create a gazebo in my back garden. It has been constructed primarily from used oak railway sleepers, even the roof tiles were salvaged and I had to pay extra for the moss and birdsh1t thereon. Each and every sleeper hoisted into place by myself. It has cost me a great deal of blood, sweat, tears, consternation from my partner and a knackered knee. Nevertheless I am happy with the end result and it shall be a talking point in the balmy Summer nights whilst imbibing in copious amounts of cider in my gazebo. It is bomb proof and I can envisage in many years to come when my bungalow and I are no more people coming from far and wide paying National Trust to visit my creation. Roll on the Summer! Party anyone?

K9, That's one hell of a good looking drinking hut.

...you should get at least 40 plus years out of that me old mucker...think of the amount of cider that's going to get drunk in there

We will be down in June to try it out and to fire up that BBQ... Let us know when's good with you both

Fekete,

You'll both be very welcome. One of the Bank Holidays is probably the best. Avidly seeking new employ now so not 100% sure of what's what with time off. Will touch base.

On anothet tack...

I Need to thank my mate Daniel his dad Bryan and a tatty 1956 copy of 'Ready Roof Reckoner' for help in figuring out what to do with the roof. 1,300 tiles and a load o' timber later we finally made it!

That's sound K9 Any times good for us after June...Also you've done a top job of that roof not the easiest things to erect with all the different angles and it being a Irregular Polygon looks cool
