That's only the second Td5 that I know of that has snapped it's crank.
Wouldn't be the end of the world to fit a replacement crank... but really you'd want a full rebuild. I could do you a fully blue printed, balanced and ported race spec Td5. ... Have never heard of a Td5 crank breaking before, would be really interesting to see pictures of where it's broken.
I guess it's a good advert for the Td5 engine that it hasn't got a reputation for breaking cranks. At least we know what it is now. It's normally the heads that let these engines down through cracking so assuming that your head is ok might be worth picking up a short engine and would probably work out the cheapest route for you Dave |

As yet I have not removed the oil pump assembly from the bottom of the engine, but w will do and post some pics when I do Dave,
