Took Delivery :-)
After a last minute panic over tax and insurance issues, my wife, 9 week old daughter and I took my Co Mondeo from Derby to Chesterfield, where we collected a brand new Defender 110 XS utility-wagon in Zermatt Silver. Cross country home to the A38 then cruise to Derby left the two of us (daughter fast asleep) grinning like Cheshire cats!

Been for a spin to Kedleston, up to the Peaks and back down via Belper to Derby. Have to say the Defender is just full of character. She is quirky and unique, delivering huge smiles and thrills. Only concern is that she seems to have what feels like a stutter/misfire occasionally around 2200 rpm. But Im not worrying as it could be a coincidental backlash in the transmission or maybe road undulations. But it did happen several times.

Looking for excuses to drive her at the moment Wink

Harvey

And thinking about that statement, with the current situation in Iceland, I don't think you have to be concerned about departing this earth for a long time.

Mine does it too, and so do many others (read the forums), so don't worry about it - when you put your foot down through that 2200rpm spot and into the power-band, it's just awsome...

Enjoy!!, they're great vehicles/companions
