RDX Bonnet Bulge
Hi all,

Ok, my landy came with an RDX Bonnet, the one with the vents.

I'm not a huge fan if it, but content to leave it in place until I save up for a proper Puma bonnet.

However what is really bloody annoying me is that the bonnet is not sitting square or flat to the rest of the car. It's driving me nuts!!

(I really need to take my own picture of the car in my drive way)

I've tried searching the net for the fitting instructions but so far cannot find any, tried also searching on her for any how to guides, but alas nothing here.

I was hoping that if I take it off and re-fit closely to the instructions it will sit better.

Does anybody have the instructions they could scan and send me or a link to a suitable website?

Cheers

You need to fit the little buffers to the bonnet just like what a standard bonnet has, adjusting these will act as a stop and level it out once shut Thumbs Up you may need to adjust the spring as well which it slams and closes on Thumbs Up

I just fitted one yesterday on this 110 Thumbs Up

Cheers Killer,

Unfortunately, mine doesn't seem to have the buffers fitted.......

Will maybe have a go at searching the web for bonnet spare parts.

Don't suppose you could email me a copy of the fitting instructions could you?

I thanks in advance.

Ps, love the knowledge sharing on this site, it's a real treasure.

Cheers

Are you looking for the rubber feet that are on a threaded bar that sit either side of the bonnet catch? If so I think I may have mine left over after I swapped them as part of the SS bolt kit from Brendan. If that's what you need let me know and I'll post them to you. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it.

The road less travelled.... is a muddy one!

Thumbs Up no problem. I don't think red supply instructions. When you fit the buffers they are suppose to be fitted on the bonnet however I always fit them on the slam panel so the bonnet closes to them Thumbs Up

If josh has some spare grab them Thumbs Up if not I got a few stainless ones here you can have, just keep on at me to send them Laughing as quite busy and I will forget Thumbs Up CSK Automotive
