I should be there weather dependant... I have decided against billing due to the poor reputation that many have put across on here and various groups on Facebook.
I like the idea of LR parking! |

I will be there weather dependant though
Don't give up on Billing because of hearsay! I've been going for the last 15 years or so and have never had any issues or seen any, billing has a better atmosphere in my opinion 2023 Defender L663 V8 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 (gone) 2010 110 XS Utility 2.4TDCI 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 (gone) 2007 Discovery HSE TDV6 (gone) 1993 110 csw 200 tdi (gone) 1994 90 HT 300 tdi (gone) 1994 discovery 300tdi (gone) 90 hybrid 3.5 v8 (gone) Range rover bobtail 3.5 v8 (gone) |

I'll be there managing the 4x4 Response (UK) stand, I'm the young guy looking skint and harassed, possibly either lurking around the national brew tent in the middle (pop over and say Hi) or lurking in the North West area. North Cumbria Search and Rescue - Team Leader

Now that I've had some dates confirmed regarding my eldests respite I can now go to Peterborough with my youngest. Fine I thought until it comes to dealing with Live Promotions and Ticketscript, for two nights now I've been trying to book an adult camping ticket along with an additional child camping ticket and cannot get any joy. The tcket sellers replied to an email from last night and said everything was fine but when I tried again I got exactly the same results as last night.
Whatever happened to being able to pick up a phone to talk to someone and order what you want from a human being? |

I won't be going. I'm doing a triathlon on the Sunday so a day driving for several hours each way and walking around, spending lots of money and carrying new stuff to the car won't help my efforts on the triathlon!

I've now managed to buy my tickets for the show now after figuring out by copy and pasting things to a new page I could get it to work, still actually waiting for a response to last nights email from the ticket seller!
So there'll be a happy junior JWL when he gets in from school this evening, just not looking forward to another 4hrs+ journey across the country on a Friday night after school finishes |

Glad you're sorted JWL! I must admit though, I'm not a fan of the ticket purchasing experience either An engine to TDi for!

I am so close and now have my Defender, so it would be rather rude not to...
So, is anyone else likely to be giving the Yarwell Off Road Course a blast? ... My 90 is still a dirt Virgin so far... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

I do like the show and it is a great draw for Land Rover folk which has the knock on effect of being one of the most sociable shows so much so that you struggle to get to see everyone you want to see. But, and it's a damned big but, the organisers bring the whole experience of getting there a nightmare.
Considering LRO were telling everybody that this years show was going to be their only show and it would be bigger and better they have ended up shooting themselves in the foot by still being directed by Live Promotions. If I lived closer I would just go as a day visitor, this concept of pre-booking tickets has only saved me £10 as opposed to turning up on the day on the camping package. but with a minimum travelling time of 3½ hours I have little choice but to camp. |

Buns?
I know nothing about buns! Have just been donated a couple of boxes of biscuits. What I am thinking is a donation tin for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and a minimum donation of say a quid to YAA for a packet of biscuits you never know might even include a cup of tea. Have not talked to Yorkshire Air Ambulance but their office is based in Elland which I have to drive close by during the coming week. Diana Tigwell who was injured at the Ripley Spring Adventure show was attended to by the Air Ambulance although I believe transfer to hospital was done by land ambulance. Have not discussed this with Barbara or Yorkshire Air Ambulance yet! Brendan |
