According to my microcat, it shows the Td5 up to 2006, and the latest/last chassis' shown for 90 & 110 go up to Vin # 6A77776, but I don't know the date of that.

At least another 500 built after my 06 plate then,hoping mine were gonna be one of the last (true) Defenders . Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

I did a factory tour in jan?feb? 2007 (Christmas pressie) and as far as I can remember it wasnt puma defenders I saw coming off the line. Remember that The tour guide said the line would be shut down 'soon' to prepare for the tdci defender.
The details are a bit fuzzy now, and I may be wrong. |

You can get 2.4 tdci on an 07 plate which would have had to be registered by March 1st. I'm pretty sure td5 came to an end in 2006

My 56reg TD5 was registered in sept 2006 and has a VIN number of 6A724... so I guess there were several hundred more were made

My 110 TD5 has a build date of Nov 06.
Bought it 4 years ago with 39,000kms on clock, and 1 owner. Now has 86,000kms on the clock. 1979 Series 3 109 FFR (ex Aust Army.) 2006 Defender TD5 110. 2012 Trackabout CT. |

Another thread tidied due to poor behaviour. We have managed 7 years without bickering about whether Td5 or Puma is better and we are not starting now.
