Do you really need all this stuff:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/art...stant.html I know I turned off half the existing options I had on the RRS, and hardly used the others at all. Watch the video and see the catch with a self learning car? the missus borrows the car on a friday morning and offers to drive her to your 9am "appointment" with Faye |

Call me cynical, but it's something else to go wrong! An engine to TDi for!

Aircraft and vessels are now going to 'glass technology.' Basically you start with all your systems illuminated. As you switch them on the lights and indicators go out. Once all your systems are running you end up with nothing illuminated to deter distraction. If you then have a system failure it will be only that system that will illuminate. As with aircraft technology in another 40 year or so we can possibly expect the same whereupon the only indication we will have reference to may be the speedo or not if we adopt autopilot. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Interesting quote from Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) director of group engineering, Dr Wolfgang Ziebart:
"The goal is for JLR to be the leader in automotive technology. Our customers are buying sophisticated vehicles, so they deserve and can afford more sophisticated technology than others provide; hybrid is part of that." We are doomed, it's amazing to think they have plans for around 50 new products over the next five years. |
