Let's hope the great service remains the same, which I'm sure it will! An engine to TDi for!

So this is the 2nd time you've been "bought" in recent years. You must be doing something right.
Big dollars involved, and I see the crowd that bought you are doing well, VERY well,...so it all looks good. I worked in the Dealer Finance area of a financial institution for many years! Pickles. |

Not knocking the service of the guys from there that post on here, but overall was the business doing that well? Cambria's operating model is turning around underperforming dealerships and the article states that the Jaguar business is loss-making currently.
Especially odd when the article also states "that the Land Rover brand continues to perform exceptionally well and has been acknowledged as the most valued new car franchise by the National Franchised Dealers Association's Dealer Attitude Survey." Lookers CEO, Andy Bruce is quoted here: http://www.gulf-times.com/eco.-bus.%20news...dealership saying: "Car dealer Lookers is now increasingly concentrating on premium and luxury brands including Volkswagen’s Audi and Bentley models as well as Tata-owned Jaguar Land Rover where margins tend to be higher" Maybe it's just a Manchester-based organisation entrenching back up North? Although they appear to have ideas for entering the US market. |

So maybe the job is done by Cambria, a quick turnaround and a few bucks made:
"Harwoods is the latest dealer group to be impacted by the shake-up of the Land Rover and Jaguar networks. The group announced today that it has bought the Grange Jaguar Croydon dealership from Cambria. Renamed Harwoods Jaguar of Croydon, the existing site will be used for servicing, MOT testing, maintenance and repairs. The group will be moving the sales operation to its Land Rover location in Coulsdon nearby. Harwoods recently announced that it had sold its Land Rover dealership in Tonbridge to Jardine. The moves are part of Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) strategy of having common ownership for the Land Rover and Jaguar brands in individual territories. Harwoods is rated 19 in the Motor Trader Top 200 with estimated annual turnover of £516m. The group represents Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Jaguar and Land Rover." http://www.motortrader.com/motor-trader-ne...31-03-2016 |
