Caravan Towing
Does anyone have any real world figures for long distance towing mpg for a Defender 90 TDCI 2.2 whilst towing a small caravan (around 1 - 1.2 ton) or any other caravan?
Thanks Rob. Thumbs Up

My TD5 90 drops by about 25% with our 1¼ ton 'van.

I agree with the Ibexman, I tow a large caravan and at at a steady 50 / 60 mph on the motorways my fuel figures are about the same as when I am not towing.

Towed our caravan on first trip of any distance to Weymouth last week with no noticeable difference in mpg

I think we averaged out at 25mpg for a 99 td5 90 towing a single axle Coachman Pastiche to Arisaig and back via Oban a few weeks ago. Its hanging on the back of the Landy now ready and raring to head South West to Cornwall tonight.
