Sounds like a faulty switch in the steering column to me. Suspicious that there's clearly nothing wrong with the lights wiring - just the stalk. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

The flashers and the horn run from the same fuse so that's worth a look. The fuse you want is in the secondary fuse box under your seat, and is labelled F3 here:

right i'll have a check of the fuse first off then maybe move onto the stalk. Would this fail an MOT? also i think that a new indicator stalk is plug and play? other than removing and refitting

If you can't beep yor horn it will be a fail. As you have put....best check the fuse and then the stalk, and it will be a simple plug off and on Glyn |

checked fusebox today seeing as i thought about it thank-you for the fuse box diagram that really helped yes the correct F3 fuse is blow i should imagine it's because the spot lights i have were wired up wrong when i got it and thats done it as i replaced them. problem is i don't have a 20A fuse just now

replaced fuse with same rating replacement. and all is well every thing is working now thank you to all that helped
