Where does this go

Can anyone tell me where this bit of trim goes.

Had to take the LHS of the dash apart on my 90 (It's a 2003 XS with aircon) a few weeks ago and just found this piece in my garage after putting it all back together.

2002 Defender 110 Td5 Black LE Java Black

it is a cover for the front door restraining bar/check strap thingy 2002 110 td5

isn't it the cover over the door stop bar , coves the bit where it slides in and out on bottom corner of dash
