Strange, why would you fit a modern defender steering wheel and hand brake to a 1952 S1.

Oh dear, what a shame!

There's no way that can legally be claimed to be 1952 and it isn't MoT test exempt, it's not eligible for Historic tax, and it shouldn't retain the original registration number.

I don't know how anyone can describe it as "original"!

Apart from all that, it just looks awful!

its on ebay as well,

I like it but I wonder if its actually legal, it has a heritage certificate saying when it was built but I suspect there is very little left of the original vehicle, for the money I would prefer a more genuine series 1 for 9k , or Id be happier as someones else said with it on a Q plate. Would also need to do something to cover the wheels.

but as I said I actually like it and expect its great to drive about in

Looks quite neat as S1's go.... although don't think i'd want to drive it through any mud without those arches! would get messy quickly.

Definitely NOT legal! I suspect a nasty surprise may await the new owner.

Not MoT exempt, not eligible for Historic Vehicle tax, and not eligible for that registration.
