Bulkhead mounted spare wheel
Hi,

I've got a 2002 90 and want to mount my spare wheel (285 75 r16) against the bulkhead. I've seen the old series bracket but don't know if it will fit the bill. Anyone done this or have any thoughts?

The only other thing I fount was this:

Any advice would be welcome

Thanks We're not stuck...just enjoying the scenery!

I would think the spare wheel mounting bracket from a double cab will do the job nicely

I have the bracketry you require in the surpus to requirements area (shed!) if you need the parts, the bulkhead mount is used, but the part with the wheel studs is new and as fitted to the Tomb Raider Double Cab, for sale if you wish....,

pm me if you want it although mail might be quite dear.........

£30 plus post. (bargain!)

I can post a photo later.......

Paul

My Defender came with what looks like an older version of the rear door mount bolted to the bulkhead.
One of these.

The problem when using the mount from a rear door is that a flat tyre would no longer touch the floor and put a lot of strain on the centre bulkhead......

More strength in the bulkhead than the door, anyways I wouldn't bother mounting a flat tyre, just throw it on the floor. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.
