Hi Alan.
The modern engine is torque based napping depending on many things including intake temps. Fitting a cooler does help the car breath and maintain lower onlet temps. It's a good modification to help with overall power and drivability on any car even a standard car when used in a hot climate. Fitting a cooler allowing lower temps and free flowing air will be picked up by the engine sensors and minor changes I fueling automatically done by the Ecu and so any gains to be had from fitting will automatically be added.
