Hi there!
I have the idea to change my short roof rack for a G4 long type (don't said it to my wife, she will kill me). I dont like to start a discussion about what kind is better, aluminium ones is out of the specs (bloody expensive to import or to do it here and not too much people have experience in welding it if broke) and finally I like the the G4 Due the high price of import one I decided to buy one locally and customized according my needs (made in Chile). We have a workshop man that usually do G4 type roof racks (the same guy that do my front bumper and my rear wheel swing away) but as far as I see the ones that he produce are quite heavy (too much steel I believe). In order to made the specifications and try to reduce the weight, I will be very happy if somebody can give me the type of steel tubes that the G4 roof rack use (material, diameter & thickness) Thanks in advance Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |
