About 10 minutes with turned of engine: 50! And still rising!

So what? The 91 degree heat emanating from the engine has to go somewhere. I wouldn't worry about it. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

That's my whole point. If you protect the intake from that, you gain efficiency, maybe not much but so will the cost to insulate be. |

Where is the sensor that is taking the temp? What is it mounted in?

Plastic tube, 10cm after the filter box.
But it's the whole duct that heats up, both before and after the filter box. The part from the wing to the box heats up first and most. I think in total it's about 1m long. |
