I have a 100 USW. I've already improved the ride a lot by changing rear springs, and also Koni Heavy Trak all round. I don't carry much weight most of the time...if I have a heavy or bulky load I use a trailer...
The original rear springs on this vehicle are: 110 Utility RKB101111 Purple/Brown 409.96mm (dual rate 270/420 lb/in) To improve the ride (which was awful unladen), I replaced the rear springs (and also replaced the Dampers with Koni Heavy Trak) with CSW springs: 110 CSW (3050kg) RKB500300 White/green/green 422.96mm (triple rate 269/315/406 lb/in) The ride is improved, but: 1. Still a little too firm for me 2. It's raised the rear slightly (presume because the CSW springs are longer than the USW springs) So...I want to lower the rear slightly (by about 30-40 mm) and also reduce the stiffness slightly (say by about 20%). Before I speak to Extreme 4x4 (who seem to do kits), is it possible to use another LR original spring? For instance NRC8044 seems to be dual-rate, in the range I am looking for, and around 1" shorter. Could I just use NRC8044, or should I speak to Extreme 4x4??? Any help/guidance gratefully received.
