Le Mans - 2014
Hi All,

Thought i'd kick off a thread to see if anyone is heading down to Le Mans this year? I'll be heading down in the defender with hopefully a Sankey in tow full of British Ale and beer! This will be my first time going there and I do love a road trip.
Anyone else going? Would be great to invite anyone over for a beer around the Braai Smile

We are going in a group called 'Not the Bentley Boys'.

Went every year from 1987 'til 2003. Wouldn't have missed it for anything. Made some wonderful friends. Too old for all the walking these days.
We've held a big Le Mans party at our place ever since. Eurosport on the big screen (6' wide) and proper Houx Annexe type barbies. Loads of beer.
If anyone wants to make it here for the weekend they're welcome. Very Happy

We will be there from the 12 to the 15th. Actual even is 14th-15th.

Bear, you'll have to PM me your number and have a beer together over there Smile

We will be getting all stickered up and I'll put as much British meat in my little fridge as it will take.

Will need another roof tent though Sad still stuff to buy for it ===================================

Go for the week. Campsites open on Monday.
Scrutineering is in the city on Monday and Tuesday.
Qualififying is Wednesday and Thursday (Go to Arnage on Wednesday)
Friday the pitlanes are open all day.

I just joined the forum as I've agreed to purchase my first defender on the 1st march
It's 110 utility and will be going to Le Mans
This my 19 year to the event and after racing down in cosworths m3 m5 and more recently my highly tuned rs4 thought it was time to travel in something more at home with the speed limits.
Could have done with it last year with all the mud
Hope to see some defender guys down there for a beer

We will be staying at Chanteloup. The trailer will stay there and using the defender to travel to the track most days.

Group of 10-13 of us away from SWMBO's for a few days of like minded car enthusiasm. ===================================
