You would have to modify your facia, as the P38 switch is too big to fit into any of the Defender's switch apertures.
The easiest and cheapest option would be to use a Puma heated seat switch (YUF500150LNF) - http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-YUF500150LNF and swap its front with the blank switch front curently in your facia. This switch uses the readily available Black 5-way switch connector. If you wanted to use the switch's tell-tale LED, you would need to drill a 2.4mm hole for the 'lense' to poke through. You could also engrave a 'Cruise Control' symbol into the blank switch front, like this - Click image to enlarge The full post is here - http://forum.lro.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=58151 . Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |
