3rd too 2nd suddenly a problem

changed all oils recently in line with the sticky above so correct spec and volumes are o/k but three weeks after the change down from 3rd to 2nd on what was a gearbox holding its own on quality of change has suddenly dropped off a cliffe regardless of speed of change, engine speed etc but only for the first change down after first starting after which its good as gold, mileage is 65,000 with very light use.

coincidence or a large bill on the horizon, ive looked through previous posts but nothing specific to going down the box.
