Wing top air intakes
Hi all,

I'm going to replace the screws with stainless screws. Do they simply screw into place or is there something under the wing that fill fall out once the screw has been removed? I can't see the underside of the air intake so hoping someone has the answer for me!

Thanks

No, just unscrew the old ones and replace with the shiney new ones. Did mine the other month.
Cheers,
Simon

Cracking, thanks mate, I had visions of unscrewing them and hearing a lower fixing drop out somewhere that it couldn't be retrieved!!

There are spire nuts clipped to the wing panel, so nothing will fall out.

You will probably find the spire nuts have rusted away, so get some replacements as well. Best coated in Dinitrol before refitting.

All done, nice an easy job. A couple of the old screws snapped off but got them out easily enough with some mole grips.
