Service costs - Expensive isn't better!
So on my 4 year / 48,000 mile service and using the forum and LR dealer/service centre search I and ton the hunt to find a more reasonable price.

For me the annual corrosion inspection required for the warranty had a huge part to play because despite what I would see as an easy job a lot of service centres would charge about £100 or not even really know what I was asking about! So be warned that you are just getting a stamp without any real inspection happening from several places in the south east!

Prices hugely varied with the highest being £1000!

When I declined to book or even ask for a discount they were completely miffed as to why I chuckled and said that I will not be booking with them.

I really hope that people arnt silly enough to be paying top prices or even using places that appear to not even perform the required work.

For me I had a couple questions ready and if they get them or told me the right answer then they got shortlisted as the most important thing is the job being done in the first place and right!

Booked in with Lookers in Bishops Stortford / Dunmow now as they were able to accurately tell me the correct requirements of the service, even called me back alter that day and offered a reasonable price. I'm very impressed so far and even went far enough to drop by the other day to check them out - very impressed
With the setup there Thumbs Up
