Bottom door seal oddity!
Bottom door seal!

Today I noticed that the bottom door seals on the drivers and passenger doors are different, I mean they are the same seal, but one has the lip facing outwards and the other has the lip facing inwards, to me it looks as though one has been fitted wrong, but not sure which is the right or wrong way!

Has anybody got a picture of how the bottom door seals should be fitted.

I have had the Land Rover for two years and I have never noticed this until now, but I am sure they should both be fitted the same way round.

As the seals are riveted to the bottom of the door Conwy Land Rovers can sort it out if there is a problem, but I do not want to go back with the vehicle (a round trip of some sixty miles) if the seals are supposed to be fitted this way!

Thanks. Read all the pages so might go down that route, however, in the mean time I still want my 'older type seals put right if indeed they are wrong!

As I had to travel to Manchester this morning and had to drive down the A55 which meannt almost passing the main dealership I decided to pop in, and yes the drivers door bottom seal has been fitted the wrong way. The dealership have agreed to put it right and also because the seal has been letting in water and soiled the front carpet they have agreed to replace that as well.

Must have been a late Friday afternoon at the factory when someone fitted the seal the wrong way up that or they should have gone to Specsavers Laughing
