Silicon intercooler hose slipping
Is there a way to tie them down securely? The clamps tend to slip. I changed to silicon hose and the last elbow into the engine tend to burst out with a bang. I have to drain the coolant and try to put it in at a tight space for the nth time. Mines a 2.2

get better clips or if you can use two , when you tighten the clip leave it 10- 15 mins then try to tighten bit more being careful not to strip the thread

Get some fine emery paper and gently rough up the last say inch of the inside of the pipe. Not excessively rough but enough to just take the shine off it. This helps the silicone grip the pipe and should help stop it sliding off.

The intercooler pipes has 4 pieces for the 2.2, can anybody kind soul tell me the part number of the last joint? The elbow shaped piece that goes into the main engine? I may need to get 1 original rubber hose before I get more fitting silicon ones, just realise that mine is not fitting and has a gap
