Hello Matey,
Thought I'd seen this post before.....PM Fekete he'll tell you despite being from Up North he is in fact an amiable, helpful individual! He's got spots on his roofrack (probably elsewhere too if you ask Mrs F. ) and will undoubtedly impart with his knowledge. Have you managed to burn me off them discs yet? NO pressure! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Hi Mal
The discs completly slipped my mind, just burning them off now, whether they'll make it to the post tonight is debatable as its throwing it down this side of the Forest. |

Hi,
I was thinking of a light bar over the windscreen, i guess the same question applies," whats the best route for the wiring, hopefully avoiding any after fitment leakes"? Also while i'm at it, any advice in snorkels, i fancied the Mantec mushroom type in plastic, but i'm open to suggestions? Cheers Andy Landy Andy |

Hi Landyandy and welcome,
With regards to the wiring routing I'm surprised nobody has posted the solution, 'pm' Fekete he'll know the answer. If you see this Fekete give these needy individuals the solution they seek. With the snorkel it depends on what type of look you are trying to achieve...In my opinion the Mantec is sleek and stylish (whilst looking like a trilby hat some people reckon), whilst the Safari has a rotational inlet and is more aggressive looking. £40 more for the Safari. There are of course a myriad of cheaper options but they look like cast iron guttering downpipes from circa 1890ish. Choice is really down to you. Welcome again. Well the best way is down the snorkle under the bonnet and through the bulk head.....If you don't have a snorkle its a really good excuse to tell the wife you need one NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

Does that effectively mean with the wife's involvement "you're bagging three (not two) birds with one stone then?" Cracking idea if it pans out. With tax, insurance and service all due imminently I think my snorkel'll have to wait a while. Good idea about running the wiring down it - no hole drilling! Nice one Chaps, I will run the wires via the snorkel, I had visions of drilling the roof, to me that's a no no. I guess keeping the wife in the loop is a fair point too, so far she loves the Landy too, apparently, buying mine last month gave me extra browny points!!!!!!
Cheers again Guys LandyAndy Landy Andy |
