In an ideal world there would be no swarf in an engine, so collection of said swarf via a magnet is always going to be a huge benefit. The oil filter will capture it also, two methods of capture is in my opinion better than one
Not sure if any warranty claims could be dismissed as long as the replacement is fit for purpose and not the cause of the claim I.e. replacement sump bung fails and caused total oil loss... Which I have never heard of M 90 & Wolf 110 XS Previously owned SI SII SIIa SIII & Light weight (air portable) |

if your bit of broken dipstick is still in the sump
One way to remove is find a strong magnet and stick it to bottom of sump then slide magnet towards sump plug hole and if your lucky it would drag the part close to the hole then with a bit of mucking about you may get the bit out Or other then that you can get large magnet to stick to outside of sump keeping bits there all the time ,but you cant clean them as the bits are stuck to inside of sump , you leave it fitted for life , some auto boxes have the same thing inside I think the proper ones are called filtermag , I never tried one but seem a good idea |
