Side of the roof mounted pipe tube for a 110 van
I'm currently getting my 110 van ready to use for my work and one of the things I need to sort out is a tube for my 3 metre copper pipes. I've got one mounted on a roof rack on my Berlingo van, but with the Defender being quite a bit taller, I was hoping to be able to mount the tube on the side of the roof rather than on top for easier access.

I went past a Western Power Distribution 110 the other day that had just such a fitting, but couldn't stop to have a better look.

Have any of my fellow tradesmen a similar set up and if so, where did you find it please? I've seen the Rhino ones, but they need a large full roofrack rather than bars, and that's not really what I want. Further 'Googling' hasn't helped much either.

Thanks for any help.

You could buy my roof bars, as the shape of the legs lends themselves to mounting a tube on the side Whistle

Thanks, roof bars might be an idea.

Have any of our other tradesmen done a similar thing please?

Mambo bars have holes in the side of the legs for fittings, maybe the pipe holder could be fitted to those.

A nice ali rack would also do the trick

There's not much choice on the side if you want to be able to open doors, and under the truck, although there is space would mean you were squatting to reach the pipes.
