Dinitrol / Waxoyl companies North East
Evening all, sorry if this has been covered extensively, but has anyone got any suggestions for who will do a good job in the North East of applying Waxoyl or similar?

How much should it cost?

Thanks in advance

You can do it yourself if you buy the right stuff. Dinitrol (I believe) and Bilt Hamber's stuff comes in big aerosols with a selection of long thin nozzles to get in all the nooks and crannies. Try here for a start:

www.bilthamber.com

I'm not exactly a fan of Waxoyl itself, as a look at some of my other posts will demonstrate!

Thanks guys, I may end up doing it myself.

Do we know of anyone who would do it if time is against me? 2 LandRovers, and counting!

Great, thanks for the suggestions.

I pick it up on Saturday, so will give them a call.

Roughly how much would I expect to pay? 2 LandRovers, and counting!

Wouldn't personally use Waxoyl, it's not a direct to metal sealant, yes inject the chassis but not on the outside
We use Dinitrol or underbody sealant on the outside
Did one of our D2s 7 years ago and it's just showing signs of needing doing now. Not an inch of wax oyl on it, no split chassis
Would always want somewhere that cleaned, allowed to dry then treated, at least a 24-36 hour process
Don't let them cake everything in it, seen some horrific jobs where they have covered every last inch underneath not protecting wheels etc
When doing it yourself make sure it's dry before applying anything, summer is great, no point sealing moisture in over winter

As for costs these are what we charge for a D2, similar for a 110, 90 is cheaper gives an idea

Starting price is approximately £250 - clean down, leave 24 hours to dry, spray with underseal and inject chassis

Step 2 as above but wire brushing as much area as we can see/get to which then cleans the chassis down better approximately £350

Step 3 as above but also removing fuel tank, exhaust, heat shields (tank must be as close to empty as possible) before wire brushing the chassis down approximately £450

All of the above is using underbody sealant which we've used successfully to treat many chassis so far. Wax oyl can be added afterwards and other products can be used at choice (pricing will change slightly) of owner.

We can check and touch up any that has come off naturally within 5 years as other companies do, as we have had this product on my own vehicle for over 5 years are confident this will need minimum reapplication if done correctly
