Triumph Bonneville seven grand; two or three years later you’ll get five for it.

Chinese bike five grand; two or three years later you can’t give it away…

Do the maths. And don't even mention cool/uncool!

2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HCPU Stornoway Grey
Apart from the colour the only difference I can see is the exhaust and rear suspension. Looks more "sporty" on the red one. So that one gets my vote for "coolness" (If it were mine, I would put the front fender back on though … rains a lot here)

As for what they are … If you do a google image search, with the blue one, it will take you straight to the website Cool

Can't win cause I cheated ...

Thanks for the votes, that's what I thought the consensus might be (without knowing the full details of the bike and going on aesthetics alone) Thumbs Up

HMC classic?
- that's as close as we are going to get I guess Very Happy Its an HMC Classic that has had a bit of work by Benny at Mutt Motorcycles. Bigger (British Made) wheels , knobbly tyres, changed bars, paint, exhaust, guards etc, so it looks a bit different.

Agreed its not actually a Triumph or a Norton but not everyone is old enough to take the correct test to ride one of those (or wants to lay down £7k) , so quite a nice starter to get going for a youngster or a 'returner' maybe.

Yes the base for this is made in China, but its only £1500 or so to buy. The Triumph Bonneville is made in Thailand now which is a bit of a shame, but I guess that goes to show that decent stuff can be made in the Far East.
