I don't have central locking.
The alarm and immobilizer are switched on using a key fob. The problem is indeed the alarm going off at night. Its not doing it now but I have had a previous vehicle vandalized because the alarm was going off and I would like to avoid that. And anyway in a city for security reasons nobody pays any attention to a car alarm going off, its just annoying. Also it scares the life out of me every time i forget to switch the damn thing off and open the door. |

yes the red light under the rev counter comes on.
does this mean the immobilizer is on. I don't need to switch anything off when the red light is flashing to start the car. Just put the key in the ignition and start. the fob makes the indicator lights flash 3 times when i press the lock button and once when i press the unlock. |

yes that means immobilizer is on , you don't have to turn it off as the fob has a transponder chip in it so when you put ign key in and turn on ign the chip sends a signal to turn immobilizer off automatic
so just lock with key and don't touch the fob and alarm should be off . and unlock with key then chip will turn off immobilizer off to start ,you don't have to touch the fob |
