Insurance if vehicle lowered? | |
The height of the 110 is starting to prove "interesting" at times, with quite a few car parks (even open air ones) limited to 2m height by nasty metal barriers.
Seen the Alive kit that, with 1" drop at the front and 2" at the rear, reckons to bring it in within the magic 2m... and doesn't look like it's been excessively dropped.
Does anyone know how insurers react (and which ones are friendly) towards this sort of thing?
With LV at present and just been quoted a whisker under 300 for next year's renewal.

it's a modification, so you'll have to tell them about it.
From previous experience of lowering cars it normally doesn't change the price much if you already have modifications declared

Therein lies the issue. The vehicle is otherwise standard and will almost certainly stay that way - so don't really want to find myself limited to specialist insurers and/or loaded premiums.
