A friend of mine went through three sets of these in under a year. I know nothing about those numbers above, but 3 sets in that space of time. Not good. It wasn't me!

Just had a quick look at the other items that ebay seller has. Mobile phones, incubators, travel pillows, archery bows etc. etc.
Also sells a snorkel for Defenders, looks like a Safari Snorkel but at a third of the price of the Safari Snorkel. THIS makes interesting reading. Brendan |

Whilst not particularly doubting the findings, it's worth mentioning that the site you've linked to belongs to Safari Snorkels. Darren

True Darren, I should have mentioned that fact, my mistake. However it was independent research done by a laboratory paid for by Safari Snorkel. At one stage there were cheap snorkels coming into the UK with a logo on extremely similiar to the Safari Snorkel logo. That is a case of 'passing off' Now many snorkels are advertised as 'Safari snorkel style' Now why don't they just sell them as Brand X snorkel rather then trade off the Safari Snorkel trade name?
There is a lot of good equipment coming out of the Far East and there are a lot of cheap knock offs of varying quality. Western companies can only assure quality standards when they have their own representatives out in the Far East doing the quality checks. As for those HID lights we have had another email coming in, offering us those lights. Looks familiar and they are cheap, cheap. Very cheap in fact. Brendan |

And where do you find the proper E marking on the lense? You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

They are sold for off road use, so no need for an E mark, they will be illegal to use on the road!
Interesting comment, they hold large stocks in the UK, which is managed by a third party warehouse hence their long delivery time?? Now IF you owned the stock why would you use a third party warehouse and distribution centre?? Or are they just acting as selling agents and taking a commission on each sale?? Brendan |
