Mountney KK810X 48 Spline Steering wheel boss?

Hi Guys,

Has anyone else fitted a Mountney KK810X 48 Spline Steering wheel boss to there Defender?

As I'm trying to fit one to a TDI column but the back of the boss bottoms out on the taper behind spline thus the nut will only go on one thread!!!!

Has anyone experienced this issue?
